This dress was a custom order for one of my best friends Natalie, and she wanted a more-than-floor-length flowy evening dress inspired by a look worn by Meghan Markle. It was a really fun project to make because we got to go pick out the fabric together, then I made 2 mock-ups and fitted them for size and skirt fullness. The pattern is cut on the bias, so the top edges needed some interfacing to stabilize them. The skirt is a wide mermaid-cut with 3 panels.

This dress can only be worn with those crazy heels that make my ankles shake in terror, but it's perfect because Natalie can rock them non-stop for days.
