Leather Armour

In 2016, I was hooked on hacks to draft patterns in a easy and precise way, and that's when I discovered the 'duck tape your whole chest' technique. I was also trying to find a way to make some practical and not 'sexy' leather armour for LARPing. I wanted it to be shorter on the chest so I could still do a rolling fall. I would later add a soft leather waist cincher to have full protection.

Another constraint is that I wanted the shoulder parts to be able to be removed from the chest part without leaving ugly buckles on the chest part, and I definitely didn't want the buckles to be able to come into contact with my shoulder bones. That took some working out, but eventually, I found a way to have a strap go from under the shoulder piece, through a loop on the shoulder strap, then through the shoulder piece to the buckle attached on the outermost of the armour. Added bonus: it looks pretty cool.
